Who we are and our reason for communicating.

Past is the time when writing about common history was reserved to specialists and academics. Far from me the idea that no writing or academic skills are required to produce a sound and convincing piece of communication; but unlike what was the case throughout the whole of the twentieth century, the current century, with its innovative means of communication, has enabled all voices to be heard, no matter your social, educative, or whatever background. It is with this same mindset that we have decided to launch this new communicating tool that will not only give a voice to the unheard, but, more importantly, debunk some of the fake news and campaigns of disinformation and miseducation spread by some media.

As pan Africanists, it is clear to us that one of the most powerful weapons of this new century is communication through media. The imperialists who have never been able to organise or build their nations otherwise than by slaughtering, looting, and exploiting other peoples, have long ago understood it. It is true, and recognised by all today, that the war in Iraq was led on a lie of mass destruction. The USA’s secretary of state, Colin Powell, presenting in 2003, in a test tube, the yellowish liquid, he misleadingly claimed to be solid proofs that Iraq developed weapons of mass destruction is in all humanists’ memory. The rest of the story is today well known by everyone; a complete collapse of the Iraqi nation, with the creation and development of many terrorist groups that make the exploitation of the resources of the nation by the Iraqis themselves impossible. Iraq is today full of foreign and international forces who protect the different zones of exploitation of the many resources of the country for the sake of their own interests, and thus depriving the Iraqis of what should be theirs.

The same thing could also be said regarding the motives that urged, in 2011, Western nations, once again, to destroy Libya and therefore destabilise the whole Sahel region in the African continent. Libya is today a total chaos where only the sites extracting crude oil are secured and protected by private foreign military groups. Libya is today a country divided into two countries, with two different presidents, and where no institution functions normally. Many are the Western countries benefiting, though, from its resources exploited by different armed groups.

It is with the objective of avoiding further similar situations, in the future, that we have decided to develop this Malian pan Africanist website. MalianNews intends to inform the non-francophone world about what is happening in this West African country that seems for the first time to be heading towards genuine independence. MalianNews aims at debunking the fake news and propaganda spread on Western mass media with the objective to destabilise Mali, and consequently work as an impediment to the Malians’ liberation from the chains of neo-colonialism. We believe that Mali is today the victim of an international plot, that started with the war in Libya, and which final goal is to deprive the Malian people of their vast resources in gold, uranium, lithium, and natural gas, just to mention a few.
